Background
From Chicago to Tacoma to Salt Lake City I landed in the beautiful mountain town of South Lake Tahoe in May of 2011. I was introduced to the Cello at 5 years old and I was fortunate to study with Hans Jorgen Jensen who emphasized the importance of tone, technique, subtlety and volume. I am a self taught guitarist, strumming away on hostel instruments during the years I spent kayaking whitewater around the world. My influences are my wife, my dogs, the trails, rivers, lakes, mountains, canyons and friends I find along the way.
Style
Outlaw Country Soul? I don't know what it is, but its fun to play! I am influenced by the vocals of Chris Stapleton, Eric Burdon of the Animals and Brandon Colemen of the Red Clay Strays. I am fond of the storytelling of Zach Bryan, the passion of Tyler Childers, the instrumental style of the 2 Cellos and the rolling guitar of the old blues. Walking in the shadows and along the musical path that these giants blazed, thats where Im trying to go.
